Urban exploration never looked cooler.
The Rove 1's are an industrial-space sneaker concept inspired by lunar rovers, cyberpunk culture, and industrial forms. Made for youth as they explore their outer world and sense of self.

Analog to Digital Process
At the start of this project, I focused on street-wear styles and forms, adding lighting features and lacing details later on. In customer storyboards, I wanted to capture the essence and experience of being young and energetic, but somewhat solitary.

For city dwellers + fast movers
Self-lacing capabilities for urbanites who are constantly on the go.
Square metal rings allow the shoes to be clipped to a bag or hung in a locker room.
Revisiting with Vizcom AI
I recently revisited this project, rendering sketches in Vizcom to test AI capabilities. The result was shocking but pleasant! Vizcom rendered the shoes with a softer look, and changed some of the back details. Overall it makes the shoe look comfier. I feel encouraged to make a Rove 2 inspired by some of the changes.
